Chemistry II
Chemistry II is an honors
class that reviews the material of Chemistry I and adds coverage of
electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, thermochemistry, and organic chemistry not
covered in the first year course. Laboratory
work illustrates these reactions and typically include synthesis of soap,
aspirin, and the destructive distillation of coal. Numerous labs and problem solving work
prepare the student for further chemical related studies.
This course is offered in
even numbered years with the next offering in the fall of 2006.
