1991 Season Review

The 1991 season ran from mid October to April 20th thus lasting six months. In the twelve Varsity and five JV/Frosh-Soph meets the Varsity record was 17-17 while the JV was 5-5. The Varsity team won its first tournaments in the four year history of the team winning the Indian Valley Conference and PHHS Invitational competitions. Another first was recorded, twice during the season, when each member of the team answered at least one question during the same quiz. Bert Wombacher, Jake Murrie, Sean Zears, Matt McClain, and Aaron Plate were the first to accomplish this while Bert, Jake, Matt, Aaron, and Drew Stout were the team the second time. Bert was named to the Peoria County and Porta All-Tournament teams.
